How can I tell if the rough shifting in my Chrysler 200 is a transmission problem or just old fluid?

Okay so I need some honest advice from people who know more about automatic transmissions than I do because I’m trying to avoid a very expensive mistake if possible. I drive a 2015 Chrysler 200 that I bought used about a year ago, and it has around 105,000 kilometers on it now. For the past few weeks, I’ve noticed that the transmission doesn’t shift as smoothly as it used to. When I accelerate from a stop, it feels like it hesitates for a second before engaging, and sometimes when it shifts from second to third gear, there’s a noticeable jerk or clunk. It doesn’t happen every time, maybe once every few days, but it’s happening more often now than it did a month ago. I asked a friend who knows cars and he said it could be as simple as old transmission fluid that has lost its properties and isn’t lubricating properly anymore. But another person told me that the Chrysler 200 has a known issue with the transmission and that changing the fluid might actually make it worse because the old friction material in the fluid is what’s keeping it working. I have no idea which one is correct and I don’t want to make a bad situation worse. I’ve been searching online for a specialist who knows these cars well. I came across a shop in Abu Dhabi that focuses on American vehicles and I decided to visite website to check out their services. My main question for this forum is whether old fluid can really cause jerky shifting like this, or am I looking at a more serious internal problem? Also, if I do decide to change the fluid, should I do a simple drain and fill or a full flush? I’ve heard horror stories about flushes causing problems on high mileage transmissions. Please share your real experiences with the Chrysler 200 transmission. I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.
