Forza Horizon 6 Exploration Tips for the Temple of Nachi Falls

Finding the Temple Location

To reach the Temple of Nachi Falls, head toward the far northwest corner of the Takashiro region in Forza Horizon 6.

The landmark sits high above the waterfall, partially hidden by thick tree cover. From most angles on the map, you’ll only see the waterfall first, while the temple itself blends into the forest canopy above. The key is to approach from the western side rather than trying to climb directly from below.

Once you get close, you’ll notice a network of narrow dirt paths that loop around the cliff edges. These are important, because most of the hidden content is tied to them.

Hidden Collectibles and Rewards

One of the biggest reasons players come here is for the hidden rewards scattered around the waterfall area.

Treasure Vehicle Location

At the base of the waterfall, there’s a dirt trail running directly in front of the water. If you follow this path carefully instead of rushing through, you’ll find a hidden vehicle reward tucked just off the route.

The reward is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR, parked in a concealed spot that’s easy to miss if you’re focused only on the main path. The trick is to stay low near the waterfall’s base and scan the edges of the trail rather than the center.

XP Bonus Board Behind the Waterfall

Behind the waterfall itself, there’s a classic hidden XP board placement. You can either drive through the water curtain or climb around the side depending on your approach angle.

The easiest method is to aim straight for the center of the waterfall and push through. Once you’re behind it, the XP board is positioned in a small recessed area that’s not visible from the main path. This is one of those rewards that’s simple to miss if you don’t actively try to break the environment boundaries.

Photo Challenge Strategy

The Temple of Nachi Falls is also part of the Discover Japan photo collection, so it’s worth planning your shot carefully.

The best position is from the lower dirt roads near the base of the waterfall. From here, angle your camera upward so both the falling water and the temple structure are visible in the same frame.

A few small adjustments can make a big difference:

  • Slightly back up to include more of the waterfall’s height
  • Raise the camera angle to capture the temple roofline through the trees
  • Wait for a clear moment without too much water spray blocking visibility

Once the framing is right, the location will register automatically as completed.

PR Stunts and Hidden Events

There’s more going on here than just collectibles and photo spots.

Nachi Falls Trailblazer

Near the temple area, you’ll find the start point for the Nachi Falls Trailblazer stunt. The goal is simple: maintain speed from the cliffside start and push through the forested descent toward the finish.

The fastest way to three stars isn’t necessarily following the winding dirt road. Many players find better results by taking controlled drops off the cliff edges and weaving through the trees instead of sticking to the intended path. It’s risky, but the terrain allows for shortcuts if you handle the landing well.

Hidden Street Race Unlock

There’s also a hidden street race in the area called the Nachi Run. It won’t appear on your map at first, which can confuse players who think they’ve missed something.

To unlock it, you need to complete enough events in the Takashiro region and earn Gold Stamps. Once your progress reaches the required threshold, the event will automatically reveal itself and become available for replay.

This makes the area feel more like a progression zone rather than a single-location challenge.

Final Exploration Tips

If you want to get the most out of the Temple of Nachi Falls area, don’t rush it. The design of this location rewards slow exploration more than fast driving.

A few practical tips:

  • Approach from the western side for easier access to dirt paths
  • Check behind environmental features like waterfalls and rock edges
  • Revisit the area after unlocking more regional content, since some events won’t appear immediately
  • Use elevation changes to your advantage when searching for collectibles

The Temple of Nachi Falls stands out because it blends scenery with hidden gameplay elements. It’s not just a checkpoint on the map—it’s a layered exploration zone that encourages you to look twice, take detours, and experiment with different routes.
