Can’t figure out why sales suddenly fell
Quote from Andy Hook on June 12, 2026, 2:35 amWe sell lighting equipment (mainly LED panels and stage lighting) and over the last couple of months sales have started to drop quite noticeably. Traffic is still coming in, and ad spend hasn’t changed much, but conversions are down and we can’t really figure out why. Nothing obvious has changed on the site or in pricing, so it’s hard to tell if it’s a marketing issue, product positioning, or something else entirely. Has anyone dealt with something similar and figured out a good way to actually diagnose what’s going on?

Quote from Harry Clarkson on June 12, 2026, 2:46 amTraffic holding steady while conversions drop is usually a sign something’s off in the funnel rather than the top of it, could be trust signals, checkout friction, product page copy, a dozen other things. Diagnosing it properly takes more than just poking around in GA for an afternoon. Worth bringing in a proper analytics firm that does conversion audits, they’ll go through your data systematically and actually pinpoint where you’re losing people instead of guessing.

Quote from Lemmy Rodriguez on June 12, 2026, 2:55 amAgencies charge an arm and a leg for this stuff and a lot of the time you’re paying for the name more than anything else. Younger analysts with solid data skills do this kind of work just as well and at a fraction of the cost. Daayum does data consulting and you can read about what he offers here: https://daayumdoesdata.com/about/ . Worth seeing what he covers before you commit to anything bigger, sometimes the smaller operators are just more focused on actually getting results.
