Anyone used Kays batteries? My neighbor swears by them but I have never heard of the brand
Quote from joldan cox on October 20, 2026, 6:34 amMy 2014 Mitsubishi Pajero has been giving me slow starts for about three weeks, and last Thursday it finally gave up in my building’s parking lot. The car has around 175,000 kilometers, and the old battery lasted just under two years, which is not great. I started asking around about what to buy next, and my neighbor, who has a Land Cruiser, told me to get a Kays and forget about it. He said his has been running three summers without any trouble. The problem is that I had never heard of the brand before, and when I told my brother, he said stick to the names everyone knows, because unknown brands are risky. Then my colleague said some of the well known names are just rebranded anyway, so the sticker means little. Now I am confused again. I read a page from a workshop in Sharjah about this brand, and it explained the build, the warranty and what sizes they carry, but it did not say how they perform in real life, which is what I actually care about. One evening I typed Reliable Kays battery supplier in Sharjah into my phone, mostly to find out who stocks them locally and whether the prices are fair compared to the usual brands. So here is what I want to ask. Has anyone here used a Kays on their car, and how many summers did it last? How do you check the manufacture date so you do not get one that sat on a shelf? Also, does the warranty cover heat problems, or do they say it is not covered when the weather is the cause? One more thing, does my Pajero need any special type, or do I just match the size and the terminal side? If you switched to this brand, please tell me how it went and what you paid. Thanks everyone.
