Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find answers to the most common questions you may have on the CS16. Also please feel free to Contact Us if you still can't find what you are looking for.
1What does a constant current driver mean?
Constant current (CC) means the current is regulated to maintain at the same current at all times.
2Why do you use constant current LED drivers?
When the current of a LED unit is regulated it will greatly improve the LED lifetime, if the current is not regulated the LED brightness can vary and shorten the lifespan. It also avoids going above the maximum current specified for the LED unit you are using therefore avoiding burning out the motherboard.
3Can I dim my LED units if the LUD48 is constant current?
Yes, our LUD48 has dimming capabilities but must be dimmed through an external dimmer/controller. Example LUC02
4How many LUD48's can I connect in one line?
Using the DATA IN/OUT you can connect as many LUD drivers as you require for the job. There is no limit.
